Main Responsibilities 

As the CI/CD Developer/Salesforce DevOps Lead and Release manager this role will work closely with Salesforce Lead Architect and Technical lead to help with the managing of the release process, implementing automation, implementing and optimizing deployment pipelines and inculcating DevOps best practices to ensure the smooth and efficient delivery of Salesforce solutions.

  • Lead the release management process for Salesforce financial services applications, including Vlocity components and including planning, scheduling, coordinating, and deploying releases across multiple environments.
  • Effectively design CI/CD pipeline and end to end SDLC to drive system development
  • Collaborate with multiple project workstreams to understand release requirements and develop release plans using Azure DevOps.
  • Monitor release pipelines and troubleshoot any issues related to deployments, environment configurations, or integration failures.
  • Work closely with Salesforce developers and administrators to optimize release management workflows and ensure compliance with company policies and standards.
  • Implement and manage version control strategies for Salesforce metadata and codebase, ensuring proper branching, merging, and code reviews.
  • Configure and maintain Azure DevOps to support continuous integration, continuous delivery, and automated deployments.
  • Develop and maintain automation scripts and tools to streamline release processes and enhance efficiency.
  • Manage Sandbox refreshes, data seeding and data/metadata backup in production.
  • Mark releases in code archives, prepare and test installers, write and distribute release notes and ensure all relevant stakeholders have access to new release while ensuring that old releases are properly managed to prevent confusion.
  • Hands-on Salesforce solution development with proven knowledge and experience across both declarative configuration and programmatic development.
  • Perform code reviews and sign-off technical design and solutions where applicable.

  • Experience working as a DevOps Lead and Release manager, or similar role.
  • Hands-on experience with Azure DevOps or other Salesforce release management tools is required.
  • Experience in setting up DevOps tool like Azure DevOps to establish a CI/CD process and governance around the same.
  • Proficiency in Salesforce configuration, customization, and development principles.
  • Strong understanding of DevOps practices, including continuous integration, continuous delivery, and automated testing.
  • Solid knowledge of version control systems (e.g., Git), build tools, and deployment automation frameworks.
  • Good experience in deployments of Vlocity components i.e. Omnistudio – Omniscripts, Flex Cards, Data Raptors and Integration Procedures.
  • Experience in Financial Service Cloud and Vlocity (Salesforce Industries).
  • Experience in Salesforce Configuration and customisation.
  • Experience in Scrum methodology and Agile practices 
  • Have a fair understanding of different partner products(app exchange) especially the widely used ones and the ones specific to financial services industry. 
  • People management skills, have prior experience of leading small deployment/dev teams.
  • The ability to apply general organizational knowledge of the business and systems processes in problem analysis is required.
  • Experience in using backup tools like own backup.
  • Have experience working with app exchange products
