Job Introduction
An opportunity as Warehouse QA Analyst has arisen to join our UK Analytics and Information Supply on permanent contract.
The successful candidate will work with both the Business and with IT to elicit requirements/user stories and to recommend solutions that will help deliver regulatory compliance, business improvements and/or other strategic value.
Main Responsibility
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
· Develop a good understanding of the team's development requirements by participating in planning sessions, user story reviews and design sessions
· Analyze complex requirements and translate them into test cases (automated and/or manual, as appropriate)
· Participate in test case peer reviews with BAs, Developers, QA and other team members
· Define Test Strategy/Test Approach, design test coverage plan and provide test estimates.
· Define Test Environment requirements to ensure adequate test environments are in place for testing
· Execute test plans, including functional, system, regression, performance, and database layer
· Record, log, and retest bug fixes
· Participate in user acceptance test planning with the project team
· Follow appropriate release management processes to adhere migration standards.
· Perform production release smoke testing
· Perform post-implementation testing of production issues as required
· Participate in project estimation and sizing/velocity efforts
· Test execution and report of test progress on a regular basis
· Recommend, develop, and communicate quality assurance processes and procedures
· Write and maintain custom test automation frameworks to facilitate unattended test execution, handle test errors, and report test results
The Ideal Candidate
SKILLS, EXPERIENCE AND QUALIFICATIONS:
· Analytical approach to work; varying ways to problem solve
· Be able to work autonomously and as part of a wider team
· Practical experience and an understanding of both Agile and Waterfall ways of working
· Experience working within the Financial Services sector is also desirable
· Experience with ETL verification/data migration verification and data validation would be ideal.
· Hands of SQL experience including writing and executing SQL queries
· Experience working in cloud environments would be ideal but not essential
· Experience working with test automation
· Strong technical and analytical skills, specifically in relation to large data volumes
· Excellent verbal and written communication skills with the ability to analyse, articulate and present complex issues clearly and concisely
· Ability to build strong professional relationships at all levels and represent Handelsbanken effectively
· Interpersonal skills and the ability to work well with impact with people at all levels
