The purpose of the role is to own the preparation of architecture material; guide and manage changes to the existing technology environment; help develop and maintain technology target-states and roadmaps; and implement the strategy.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Providing hands-on input to feasibility studies and projects, particularly in the early design stages, to help shape high quality solutions across architecture domains
  • Creating and maintaining high quality solution architecture designs and documentation, working closely with security and data architects, to support the various stages of architectural and investment approval
  • Working closely with colleagues within both the UK and Sweden, to ensure alignment with technology strategies and roadmaps
  • Building and maintaining knowledge of the technology landscape relevant to the UK and helping mature the baseline architecture collateral
  • Helping define and drive future-state technology strategies and roadmaps across business and technology domains
  • Helping enable and promote increased technology autonomy within the UK bank, where applicable
  • Driving solution design discussions with senior business stakeholders to ensure goals will be reached
  • Working with engineering teams to ensure solution designs meet requirements, follow industry design methodologies and are aligned to best practice
  • Presenting architecture documents to UK architecture governance forums (and group equivalents where applicable) for review and approval
  • Working with the team to continually enhance and mature the architectural and governance processes
