Job Introduction

Main Responsibilities
- Work with the Performance and Risk Manager, within the investment team (1LoD), across all aspects of performance measurement and risk analytics.
- Work with the second line Risk and Compliance teams to ensure regulations, controls and guidance are adhered to.
- Support the Investment team by utilising FactSet and other risk and performance systems, both operationally and analytically to be able to benefit the business.
- Construct appropriate MI, to challenge asset allocation and stock selection decisions made by Investment Directors, and Investment Managers to review portfolio performance & evaluate risk metrics across the strategies. (Contribution and Attribution analysis)
- Assist with the construction and optimisation of portfolios from a risk management standpoint, ensuring that risks are adequately captured and ensuring that the Investment Team are fully aware of the implications of their decisions. (VaR, Stress tests, scenario analysis etc)
- Checking and signing off of monthly and quarterly reports, and factsheets.
- Use investment management tools, excel, FactSet, Style analytics and Morningstar to provide accurate and timely reporting both internally and externally.
- Monitor and identify performance and risk metrics, and stress test portfolios to ensure that the Investment team are aware of actual/potential sources of loss to portfolios and assess potential improvements.
- Assist in preparing analysis and data for Quarterly Review Meetings as well as quarterly checks.
- Assist with all related queries from the investment team on attribution and contribution analysis. Ensure that all instruments are able to be modelled accurately within FactSet and ensure all technical and data requirements are adequately covered.
- Assist in preparing analysis for discussion in the monthly Investment stop loss performance review.

- Experience in a similar role, CFA or FRM candidates preferable, or desire to study towards.
- 3 – 5 years’ experience in a similar role.
- Experience using risk and performance systems like (FactSet, Bloomberg etc).
- Passionate about markets with a keen interest in financial theory and multi-asset investing ideally with a statistics and financial background.
- MS Office experience (Excel proficiency is essential).
- Is innovative and proactive with a self-starter mentality.
