Job Introduction

Role Overview

UK Technology (UKT) is responsible for architecting, developing and securing IT solutions for the UK Business (including Handelsbanken Wealth Management). This role sits within the Services & Infrastructure department that supports the Banks service delivery, technical infrastructure, end user support and IT continuity capabilities.

 

We are looking for a process mapping specialist to join us on a contract basis. This role will support the Services & Infrastructure function to map our processes and procedures in support of a variety of tooling, regulatory and improvement initiatives. This role will focus on mapping and improving existing processes, supporting SMEs to create new processes/procedures and to help identify ways to become more efficient. You will work with a variety of teams within the technology function UKT, providing process mapping skills and subject matter expertise.

 

This role is Monday to Friday 09:00-17:00 and is based in the London office. There may be a requirement to travel to the Manchester site to facilitate workshops etc.

Main Responsibility

  • Performing end-to-end design of business processes formulating recommendations to actual implementation in an efficient but effective manner using industry standard tools (BPMN/BPA)
  • Developing graphical models of business processes to facilitate understanding and decision-making. Assesses the feasibility of IT process changes and recommending alternative approaches
  • Analysing and designing IT processes to identify alternative solutions to improve efficiency, effectiveness and exploit new technologies and automation
  • Facilitating of ‘as-is’ and ‘to-be’ workshops with subject matter experts in the IT Service Delivery, IT Service Desk, IT Operations Teams and other teams (as required)
  • Developing new processes to enable the Services & Infrastructure function to meet the needs of our users and comply with relevant regulation
  • Supporting the creation of standardised service documentation across the department
  • Making recommendations for process improvements, efficiencies and cost savings
  • Supports all process specialists and influences team on correct application of standards

 

The Ideal Candidate

Essential

  • Demonstrable experience of Business Process Model and Notation (BPMN)
  • Excellent knowledge of common IT processes (ITSM/ITIL/Agile)
  • Process Analysis, Process mapping, Process Improvement and Continuous Improvement
  • Ability to facilitate workshops both in person and virtual
  • Professional standard of presentation skills
  • Ability to build strong professional relationships at all levels and represent Handelsbanken effectively
  • Ability to work well under pressure
  • Attention to detail and an organised approach to work

 

Desirable

  • Six Sigma experience/certification
  • Experience using a variety of software tools such as JIRA, Confluence, MS Visio etc.
  • Experience working in financial services or other, highly regulated industry
