Job Introduction
Main Responsibilities
- To develop a detailed understanding of the Credit business area and work with the wider credit team to analyse and present information relating to the credit portfolio;
- Run regular production of MI and ad-hoc requests for data analysis;
- Support the development of robust data analysis for both ad-hoc and regular management reporting;
- Support the development of efficient management information (MI) production;
- Support the build out of a robust data governance and quality process within the Credit function;
- Support with producing and improving data management methods and approaches;
- Serve as a conduit between the data team and the business, communicating data-driven insights to non-technical audiences;
- Identify sources of credit data and where new reporting can be developed to support internal portfolio management and external reporting;
- Support the local credit departments and other members of credit in understanding how to work with the credit MI that is provided to them;
- Review key credit processes to consider how automation could support and consider how these approaches can be taken forward;
- Support projects across the business by bringing expertise to discussions around changes that are being made and to ensure suitable MI can be generated to assist in controls and management;
- Operates in line with the Bank's Credit Risk Management framework and relevant risk and compliance policies and procedures, ensuring appropriate and timely escalation of any concerns to their line manager.

- have relevant experience working with data analysis within financial services;
- be degree educated or equivalent, preferably in a STEM subject;
- have a basic knowledge of SAS and SQL and be eager to develop further
- be comfortable working with various MS Excel features such as formulas and pivot tables
- have a good understanding of risk/financial terminology and be interested in developing this knowledge further
- be proactive and able to act on their own initiative and deliver high quality outcomes and with excellent attention to detail;
- be willing to learn and to work in an organised yet flexible and collaborative manner
